Sole Collector: Air Yeezy edition

Sole Collector’s Issue 29 will feature the Nike Air Yeezy on the cover and as the focal point of this latest edition of the magazine. This cover features the unreleased pair that Kanye used to debut the Yeezy at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards last year.

After all the colorways have been released, the Air Yeezy will eventually become a certified design that will retain timeless relevance.

Dime mag: top 50 sneaker stores in the world

In this issue of Dime mag, they feature an interesting article on the "Top 50 sneaker stores in the world" & "Top Consignment sneaker shops in the world." I've actually been waiting for coverage on something like this, with me of course being somewhat a "shoe-head" myself. lol

I think they did a great job on this because all the local stores that i am personally aware of, had received the attention & rankings they well deserved.

*btw - Derrick Rose graces this issue's cover.. nice.

local L.A./southern-california shops covered & credited: the legendary UNDEFEATED, Blends, Proper, Attic, Huf(bay area), Flight Club, R.I.F, & The Holy Grail.

SLAM 129

What a classic cover.. especially with the peak of the playoffs currently going on & all this "Great debate: kobe vs. LeBron" talk arising EVERYWHERE. Can you imagine if the Denver Nuggets were to upset & take out the Lakers this series?? dammn.. then SOMEBODY would be held responsible for causing a huuge magazine recall & have to get THEIR face photoshopped out & replaced w/ a Carmelo head. I can't say the same for LeBron against Dwight tho.. cos': "LeBron would NEVER let this happen!!" haha

kobe.. don't F*CK things up, everyone's watching. lol

Stephon Marbury is a dumb mutha'f*cka.

Santigold in XXL mag

Many hip-hop heads first learned about Santigold by way of a cameo on Jay-Z’s borough anthem “Brooklyn (Go Hard).” But before Hov made it a hot song, Santi White made it a hot line on “Shove It,” a track off her critically praised ’08 debut, Santogold. Originally from Philly, the Brooklyn transplant entered the industry on the executive end, before embracing her own creative chops. With her defiant punk-rock-ska fusion, the singer has since earned, as she proclaims, “a place up on the radar.” In an email interview with XXLMag.com, Santigold (she recently changed the spelling of her name) elaborated on her all-inclusive style, recording with Jay-Z and why rappers are helping to spread the word.

SLAM 128

The new June '09 issue releasing soon IF not already out on racks, features 2 youngn' NBA prospects gracing the cover.. OVERrated Spanish point guard sensation & "Pistol Pete" resembling Ricky Rubio & my boy, Compton's own Brandon Jennings.. who I personally see as a more offensively explosive version of Derrick Rose, & future NBA superstar in the next 2 years.
