Sole Collector: Air Yeezy edition

Sole Collector’s Issue 29 will feature the Nike Air Yeezy on the cover and as the focal point of this latest edition of the magazine. This cover features the unreleased pair that Kanye used to debut the Yeezy at the 50^th Annual Grammy Awards last year.

After all the colorways have been released, the Air Yeezy will eventually become a certified design that will retain timeless relevance.

Air Jordan 3 "true blue's"

This Saturday, arguably the greatest non-US Jordan release will occur. The Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” has hit the web through a few sources for the past couple of weeks, but you have just a little more than a week to get your money and connects straight for the global "International release" date of Saturday, August 8th. By "International Release" i mean Asia will have them, Europe has them, and our friendly neighbor to the north, Canada will have them.. but no True Blues will release in the US. daamn.. what the fuuuuuuuuuuckk?!?? :[

kanye x air-jordan collabo in the future??

After winning Grammy awards for his music, Kanye West quickly transitioned into the footwear design world with the successful releases of his Nike Air Yeezy and Louis Vuitton collection. According to MediaTakeout, Kanye has his sights set on designing a sneaker with the Jordan Brand. Rumor has it that "Kanye is negotiating to design a limited edition pair of Nike Air Jordan's" and "negotiations are still early, but that both sides are excited about working out a deal".

If this IS true, it'd be pretty intresting. Just another "everyday big move" for mr. yeezy. lol

In this issue of Dime mag, they feature an interesting article on the "Top 50 sneaker stores in the world" & "Top Consignment sneaker shops in the world." I've actually been waiting for coverage on something like this, with me of course being somewhat a "shoe-head" myself. lol

I think they did a great job on this because all the local stores that i am personally aware of, had received the attention & rankings they well deserved.

The Nike SB P-Rod III, Paul Rodriguez Jr.'s third signature with Nike SB, is set to release very soon.. the first 2 colorways as soon as August. Included within the lineup of colorways will be the Red/Black/White Nike SB P-Rod III. The Red Nike SB P-Rod III features a Red leather and suede upper with a Black trim and White accents.


Continuing the buzz that the Air Max 1 is continuing to generate in 2009, Nike will be back in 2010 with several more Air Max 1 releases. Each of the colorways are done in the classic color blocking and mesh/suede, material usage. All of the Air Max 1s in this post are scheduled to release during the Spring of 2010.

Nike and Lance Armstrong are back with the second installment of their "LIVESTRONG Stages Collection," the LIVESTRONG Air Max Collection. The LIVESTRONG Air Max collection features an Air Max 1, an Air Max 90, and an Air Max 180 that all feature a combination of the LIVESTRONG foundation's trademark Black and Yellow color palette.

Having been unanimously voted in as this season’s Most Valuable Player, Nike is paying homage to King James with a special MVP edition of his "Six Witness" sneakers. The shoe features characteristics such as “triple-stitched lateral stability rand and swoosh come in a polished black look, while the collar, forefoot and heel straps get the Witness treatment in bold black letters.” A special, classic "W I T N E S S" MVP edition t-shirt was also created on a similar note. model's above(top to bottom) are: "Lanceiro's", "Safari's", "flywire og's" & "Lunar's." the only one's out so far right now are the "Lanceiro's" but good luck comin up on those. lol

Nike Air Trainer x Manny Pacquiao

Boxing sensation and Filipino prodigal son, my ngga Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao and Nike have come together to design the Manny Pacquiao x Nike Air Trainer. The Air Trainer sneaker itself combines characteristics from the Air Trainer 1, the Zoom Trainer, the Lunar Trainer, and the Sparq Trainer with a Flywire upper and Free outsole. The sneaker features a Red, Gold, and White colorway with Manny's logo at the heel.

200 pairs of the sneaker were created. Manny is getting half and the other half will be broken up between UNDFTD, Fatlace, Niketown SF and Niketown Las Vegas. Release date is May 2nd.

The name Kobe Bryant is so synonymous with the Los Angeles Lakers that it's real easy to forget that KB24 was actually drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. Kobe's draft rights were signed over to LA in exchange for Vlade Divac, and the rest, is history. To commemorate this vital piece of NBA history, Nike is set to release a Charlotte Hornets colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. The Draft Day Nike Zoom Kobe IV features a White upper with Teal and Purple accents. The day of the draft "6.11.96" is also emblazoned on the heel tab and on the footbed. A release date for the Draft Day Charlotte Hornets Nike Zoom Kobe IV has not been confirmed.

The Supreme x Nike SB Bruin finally readies itself for a release in it's, revamped basketball-style. Characterized as one of Nike’s earliest low-top basketball offerings, the upper is simple in solid-colored suede with leather on the heel. The Nike Swoosh in metallic materials offers a contrast highlight. A total of four colorways are available including white/red, green/gold, red/gold and black/silver. Releasing alongside the shoes are a series of cotton twill jackets which replicate the same "WORLD FAMOUS" slogan on the back. Available at Supreme NY and LA on April 16th with US online sales starting on April 20th. Supreme stores in Japan will release on April 18th.
