Nike's "Kobe in Asia" tour officially wrapped up today in Chengdu.. after hitting Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore & MANILA in the matter of a little over a week.

I personally am a BIG fan of this project by Nike/Kobe, in which the purpose is to expand the sport of basketball across the globe by way of visiting fans & schooling some humble youngsters on the game.

I hope LeBron can do something like this in the future. lol

Nike signs Griffin, Harden, & Curry

After somewhat taking last year's draft off, according to @NikeBasketball, Nike has signed Blake Griffin, James Harden, and Stephen Curry. Blake Griffin was the #1 pick to the Clippers where he will be in a big market and play for a team that does not feature a big time Nike player, Harden went #3 to the Thunder and will join Nike players Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry went #7 to the Golden State Warriors a team that like the Clippers, does not feature a marquee Nike athlete.

Takashi Murakami "The Simple things" x Pharrell

Kicking off the official opening of Art Basel Switzerland, Pharrell was on hand to showcase his collaboration project alongside master artist Takashi Murakami. Entitled “The Simple Things”, the installation featured some of the essentials in Pharrell everyday life, completely iced out in true Skateboard P style. Emmanuel Perrotin was also on hand to witness the unveiling, which sold out in less than half an hour.

Takashi Murakami is a GENIUS.

apple's new: iphone 3GS

Apple officially unveiled their new iPhone 3GS today, at the company’s annual developers conference. Making its debut in stores on June 19th, the iPhone 3GS offers a variety of features iPhone enthusiasts have been craving for. Highlights include: a faster processor that runs applications at twice the current speed, auto-focus 3MP camera, video-recording feature, voice control, 9 hours of web surfing battery life, and digital compass amongst many other features. Available in two different colorways (black or white), the iPhone 3GS will come in a 16 GB version running for $199 and 32 GB version for $299. Further information regarding the upgrade can be found via the official Apple website.

Me being an extremely satisfied iphone owner(white, 16g), i'm actually impressed & excited about this new version that'll soon be hitting stores. Not necessarily that it's a little faster, but mostly with all the new little added features. I can see myself upgrading maybe about a year from now, but not anytime soon. If YOU yourself are faced with the opportunity to open a new AT&T contract or upgrade an existing line, & have the opportunity to COP one, i suggest you DO IT. My iphone is probably the single best investment i'd ever made on any product/device in last 5-6years.. real talk. I haven't purchased anything more useful, helpful or relevant than my iphone 3g. It's an "all-around lifesaver." no joke.

Jay-z news: Blueprint 3 updates

So a few days ago, Hov premiered his brand new "street single" called "D.O.A./Death Of Autotune" which goess pretty hard lyrically taking a standpoint against wack rappers that sing too much, lacking TRUE rhyming talent and even enhance their vocals using t-pain's autotune device. It's produced by No I.D. & Kanye West.

Jay also said that with "D.O.A." being the first "street single" off his upcoming Blueprint III album, his first OFFICIAL "radio single" will be a cut called "Off That" featuring Drake. THAT track is said to drop in July, so look forward to that one making a big impact once it's leaked.

The biggest news of all is regarding his highly anticipated album, which is the 3rd installment to Jay-z's Blueprint series.. "Blueprint 3." The official date is said to be Septemper 11th "9/11" 2009, which is 8 years to the EXACT date of when the first Blueprint album dropped in 2001. I personally think this is a GREAT idea, i can't waait till more tracks leak & more news about the album is revealed.

Expensive as it is, the aluminum choice hints that the $200 pricing may just get boosted slightly. Fusion Garage is also working on the software, as the prototype previously was Linux based with the ability to directly boot to the browser.
